I had my AGU 1.8t remaped about 6 months ago. been told after remaped that the engine will revs up and down by itself for awhile and it will sort itself out and it did sorted itself out about 30mins after. but 2 days ago i replaced my battery and it do the same again but this time, 2 days later it still not sort itself out yet. Has anyone have similar problem before and know any other solution i can try to finx this reving problem? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi there! All you need is a throttle adaptation you can go to any V.A.G. specialist that has a scantool to get this done it takes 5 min :D. and also it has nothing to do withthe re-map:p it needs to be done everytime the battery is disconected or the throttle body is cleaned.

oh right. reason for me to point my finger to remaped is becuase when i had it newly remaped the guy that did the job mention that the engine will reving up and down for awhile and it will sort itself out. didnt know this is the case. will any garage be able to fix this or it have to be V.A.G. specialist?

with car off, open drivers door and engine compartment. Turn key in ignition to ON position, (do not start car) Listen to throttle body under hood as it calibrates and finds limits. when it stops start car and test.
